Scuse me all you desktop experts but these staircases and all the buildings around them are built as a means of survival. They are what they are because that is how they have to be. They are built by people who have to build them because they have no other choice.

I lived in Bogota and had the opportunity to walk through some of these areas that are intertwined with staircases and ally ways on the mountainsides above carrera 7…interesting stuff. I enjoyed my walks through those areas.
